Why 60% retail quota in Abans Holdings IPO instead of the usual 35% or 10% of allocation? Is it a cleaver idea to take advantage of the prevailing IPO euphoria?

Whatever may be the percentage of quota, nobody is forcing retailers to invest in any IPO. It is good that they want more retailers to invest. However, more holding in retailers = more volatility. And yes, 35% is only the minimum % as per SEBI (ICDR) Regulations, 2018 (for Type 1 cases - Profit making). Hence, 60% is possible.
