But it is paradox on its own. People apply thinking that this is poor quality IPO with good GMP (at least on paper), so will have lower applications and higher allotment chances., that thinking itself results into high over subscription and reduce the chance of allotment.

Big big change in price determination on listing of IPO shares.

*Between 9:35 to 9:45, randomly at any time, the order session will be stopped and the price at that time will be the listing price*

So listing price will not necessarily be the price at 9:45, it can be any price b/w 9:35 to 9:45

GMP is not any reliable criteria for making investment decision. If it rises from say 20% to 40% or so before listing, it can very well go down from 40% to 20% to even lower. But, one can not rule out punters' involvement too in this game.
