Do investors prefer fresh issue or OFS in an IPO?

Fresh Issue generally increases investor interest more than an Offer for Sale because it brings new capital into the company for growth, expansion, or debt reduction. Investors see direct benefit to the business and future earnings. OFS, on the other hand, mainly allows existing shareholders to exit or reduce stake, so it does not contribute to company growth; therefore, it typically creates less excitement.
