How to get my lien amount back after IPO?

When you apply for an IPO online, the application amount is blocked in your account. You cannot withdraw that amount. This is called marking a lien to secured the amount. This amount will be marked lien till the allotment is finalized for an IPO and is unlocked after that.

I had applied for Cams ipo on 22 September through upstox. I did not get allotment. Now its been more than month still my money is not unblocked it has gone in lien amount. I contacted to sbi branch manager they said that its not in there hand they dont know how to do it. I contact to upstox they said that our work is to submit the application only then i contacted to cams company and they said that its bank issue and they have sent mail to main branch of sbi mumbai that how to unblock money. So plz plz unblock my money as soon as possible i need them so much i have twice visited to my home brank manger he is unable to help. I m attaching necessary information to this mail, unblock as soon as possible i m tired of trying.

I have applied for Bajaj Housing Finance Ltd IPO on 09/09/2024 through Google pay. The IPO was not alloted to me. The ipo mandate date was expired on 26/09/2024 but the amount is still showing as lien amount in my bank account. Can any one suggest me what can I do now? I had a contact with bank customer care and as per their instructions I have sent emails and messages to unblock the amount but till date nothing happened.

I had applied for DEVYANI INTERNATIONAL IPO.
but IPO was not allotted to me.
IPO get listed in stock market.
But my lein amount in my bank account is not cleared.
I contacted to bank officer to clear this lein.
But officer told me they can't clear this lein amount and advice to contact ipo office.
What I can do?
Please guide me.

Hi ,

I have applied for utkarsh bank IPO and the mandate end date was 29th , the share has been listed and i did not get shares alloted, i check with relationship manager she said there is not lein amount holded in your account but my balance did not get incresed however it was left the same as initial.

How do i crosscheck with my bank (ICICI) ? if my amount is unblocked or not?

**Please note that your application was bidded but not banked for marking a lien on your Bank Account / Amount not blocked through the UPI mechanism. For any further query, you may contact the intermediary with whom your application was lodged.
What does this means ? after not getting ipo allotment i get this in email.

Hello
If you are facing problem regarding fund blocked then wait till last date of Auto pay mandate because in this period your fund will be unblocked.

If you immediately then send mail to Registrar of IPO (example if registrar is link in time then ipo.helpdesk@linkintime.co.in ) and branch where you have account and also to intermediary through which you have applied IPO .

In mail to Registrar , you just mentioned your application number and tell them that you didn't got allotment and fund is still blocked so please inform to Bank & intermediary so that they will release fund.

In case of mail to intermediary, you should mention your application number and just tell them, to inform bank/UPI for unblocking of fund since allotment was finalized and you didn't got allotment.

In case of mail to bank , you just send it to your branch and tell them to revoke the lien created on account since allotment was finalized and no Shares was alloted.

If you have applied through UPI then please also send mail to customer care of UPI .

In 3-5 days your fund will be blocked .

Hello, use paytm while applying IPO, there is a option to see automatic UPI Payments. In that your lein is blocked u can see, this request has validity dates after validity dates are over its will be shown back to the account.

but IPO was not allotted to me.
IPO get listed in stock market.

I had applied for IPO of GR infra Projects Limited on 09.07.2021. I have not been allotted shares. The mandate date is also over, despite this my fund has not been unblocked till now. How can I get it back in my account?? Bank is refusing to do anything by saying "they have nothing to do in this case" .

People has loose their mindset according to investing.because of these Unresponble organization. Nobody help not Bank not company or not any government branch like sebi. i made a payment through BHIM UPI and amount blocked for CAMS. it was expected that the amount would be unblocked on 29 Sept 2020 but still it is in lien and no response found by either BANK or CAMS side.

The expiry date will be 09 oct 2020 for the mandate, so do i need to wait till 9 oct 2020 for refund??

when you booked this amount for IPO through BHIM App that time you had received a pop message which mentioned IPO name and application no. and validity from to to it means that your amount will be credit in account after validity date.
