Can I have new PAN Card Number? The problem is, I used my HDFC bank for Paypal transactions. Due to contractionof policies between HDFCBank and Paypal, my Paypal account got banned. Now I wantto obtain new PAN Card to open a new Paypal account.

 

No, you shouldnot apply for a new Permanent Account Number (PAN). The PAN is unique to each individual and is valid for the life time of the holder.

The holding of more than one PAN Card by individuals is illegal. In case, the individual or company fail in this regard, government could send a legal notice and can impose a penalty amounting to Rs. 10,000.

As you are saying the there is a contraction of policies between HDFC and Paypal then in that concern you need to clarify from their officials only. Having a different PAN Number will not help in any way.
