All the eligible Shareholders of the Company holding either Physical Shares or Demat Shares as on the Record Date can participate in the buyback offer through their Stock Broker.

The eligible shareholder holding the shares in Demat form needs to inform their broker the details of the Equity shares they wish to tender in the Buyback Offer. The shareholder needs to transfer the tendered shares to a Special account of the clearing corporation. The broker, in turn, would place an order on the stock exchange for the buyback.

The eligible shareholder holding the shares in physical form needs to approach their broker with original share certificates and supporting documents. Upon completion of document verification, the broker places an order on the stock exchange and submits the original share certificate and TRS to the registrar.

The tender form and TRS are optional in the case of Demat shares but mandatory in the case of physical shares.

The MOIL Buyback offers an opportunity for the shareholders to exit their positions at a premium price. In case you stay invested you would have an increased percentage of shareholding in the company and improved earnings per share. Thus, one should understand the company fundamentals along with one's need, goals, and risk appetite to decide if one wants to stay invested or participate in the buyback offer.

@KSRK sir,

I have applied for MOIL buyback through Zerodha for 50 shares. But none of them are accepted I guess, because I can see all 50 shares in my demat account.

Is there anything I missed while applying for buyback? I just clicked on tender shares for buyback , thats it.

Did you provided offer price(prefilled) and quantity and submitted it?
After that on last day BB closure did you got mail from Zerodha BB order placesed sucessfully?
Did you got contract note from zerodha and post BB intimation from registrar which will show how many shares are accepted and how much money will be credited.
If all this is "Yes" and happened, then contact zerodha telling your problem
If no, it might be you made some mistake in order placing or broker made a mistake, and your order might actually not got placed.

I am yet to get the buyback amount in my bank. Anybody facing this situation?
120.2. antarix     Link|February 23, 2022 2:34:26 PM
Today sent a mail to the Registrar (moilbuyback@bigshareonline.com) asking them to look into this matter. Last time when I participated in NTPC buyback, amount was transferred to account on the last day of settlement of bids. So, I was expecting the same i.e. on 21 February.

Registrar replied that I should contact broker as the settlement had been done on 18th Feb itself. So, I have now raised the matter with broker i.e. Zerodha. Waiting for its response.

Thanks @piegon.
I am seeing so many new people are coming for asking queries and many people (other than me and @KSRK sir) are also helping in replying to user queries, specially in big buybacks like moil/tcs , which is very good.
And yes many times people keep posting repetitive messages and sometimes same information is already available on same page in other posts but people don't even bother to go through one single page messages so that is annoying and sometimes @KSRK sir replies same thing to them to go through other message, which is good :)
I will inform @admin to add links in buyback posts also, so that we can simply give older message link in reply to newer message.

Dear KSRK and other Experts.

I have had a strange experience in MOIL buyback in Angel broking. I have 2 accounts for me and my wife. Both accounts had 1100 shares. I got buyback emails from Angel for both the accounts in respective mail ids registered with accounts and i submitted the buyback request with the link as provided in the emails for both.

For one account buyback processed and for another its not bidded for reason unknown to me. While checking my email for the account for which buyback not submitted, i noticed Angel has sent separate mails for transferring shares to broker pool account while for another account for which buyback was processed no such emails were received.

Anyone experienced the same or any idea about it.

I don’t have any idea regarding Angel broking. Sorry. Knowledgeable experts in this regard may please respond. Thank you.

@german: better you call your broker and check with them regarding share transfer and why they did this and why they didn't placed your buyback order in that account. I also don't have angel broking so no idea. I have only zerodha.

Same here sir. Got the money. @KSRK sir - Please keep posting your strategy for remaining 347 shares when you feel necessary, I will track this forum for another moth at least. A price above buyback price should be valid exit point from my view.

114.3. DuckkyDuck   I Like It. 1|  Link|February 18, 2022 10:57:48 AM
No, its not 100% acceptance.
For all people, today all the shares tendered is debited from Demat. And on Monday un-accepted share will be credited back to Demat and amount of accepted shares will also be credited to bank account.
This is a general practice.
Check your buyback contract note from broker to know how many shares accepted. For reserved retail 65% acceptance is there.
@Manoj - You will be in general category, let us how many of your shares accepted so that we can know how much percent acceptance in general category.
