Steps to applying in IPO with Kotak Securities (Online IPO Application Process)

Kotak Sec offers simple, easy and quick way to apply IPO's online. Kotak customer can apply in IPO's using single click online ASBA IPO application. Below are few easy steps to apply IPO with Kotak Securities:

  1. Visit Kotak Securities website and click on LOGIN TO TRADE box.
  2. Login to your trading account
  3. Click on Place Order >> Primary Market >> IPO
  4. Select ASBA, IPO, Category and click on Accept button.
  5. Fill in the quantity and price and click on Place Order button.
  6. On client detail page, fill your age in years and click Submit button.
  7. Ensure sufficient funds in you Kotak Mahindra saving bank account. If not transfer the fund and click Submit button.
  8. Check the confirmation 'Your bid has been received for processing by Kotaksecurities.com. Your Kotaksecurities.com internal reference number is XYZ.'

Once you submit the online IPO form, Kotak Sec will complete remaining formalities related to submission of your IPO form using the Power of Attorney issued by you at the time of account opening.

How to apply in IPO through ASBA from Kotak Bank net banking

It's very simple to apply in IPO through ASBA / Net Banking through Kotak Bank. Below are few easy steps to follow:

  1. First login into Kotak Bank Net Banking with username & password
  2. After login go to More--> ASBA section from Navigation Menu
  3. It will display list of options and you can select one of those as per your requiremnet
  4. If you haven't register yet, first you need to register with them which is one time process. You can anytime modify/update your detail by clicking on 'View/Edit Beneficiary registration'
  5. Once the registration process done, you have to click on Apply Now, where you will be able to see the list of all current active IPO's
  6. Select the name of IPO from the list and beneficiary name for registered applicants. After that select the Retail Individual Investors category.
  7. Then enter your bid detail and submit the form by clicking on check box saying I accept terms and condition.

Once you submit the online IPO form, Kotak Sec will complete remaining formalities related to submission of your IPO form.

IPO Fund Transfer - Step by Step Guide

To apply in IPO though ASBA, Kotak customer has required fund allocated to IPO. Following are the steps for transferring fund for IPO or allocating funds for IPO:

  1. Visit Kotak Securities website and click on LOGIN TO TRADE box.
  2. Login to your trading account by entering login id, password and security key.
  3. Click on Funds >> Money Transfer >> Transfer Funds
  4. This is where you can transfer money between your bank account and Kotak Sec trading account.
  5. Select From: Bank and To: Mutual Fund / IPO and then click on Submit.
  6. Select Bank Type >> Select Payment Type as Mutual Fund / IPO >> Enter Amount and Click on Go
  7. Confirm the transaction and click on Submit. If you have a trinity 3-in-1 account, your funds will be transferred immediately or else, you will be lead to your linked Bank account's Payment Gateway page to complete the transaction.

Modify / Cancel IPO Application with Kotak Sec

IPO shares bid once placed can be modified or cancelled till the cut-off time for placement of bids on Kotak Securities on the last day of the issue. Follow below steps to modify or cancel IPO application:

  1. Visit Kotak Securities website and click on LOGIN TO TRADE box.
  2. Login to your trading account by entering login id, password and security key.
  3. Go to Reports >> IPO >> Order Status
  4. This show the list of orders and there status.
  5. Select checkbox in front of the IPO you would like to modify or cancel.

Applying in SME IPO's with Kotak Securities

Kotak Securities online IPO allows customer to apply for public issues (both book building and fixed price online) at BSE and NSE.

As of Sept 2016, Kotak Securities doesn't offer online applications for SME IPOs. Kotak customers cannot apply online for IPOs offered at BSE SME and NSE Emerge exchanges.

Kotak Securities customer can apply for SME IPO shares by filling the paper application forms.

Kotak Securities does not allow application in SME IPO ar all.

Kotak Securities stop accepting application after 12 MD on last in mainboard IPOs. So if you are taking decision to apply ipo after looking at subscription data in last hours, KS does not allow you.

SME IPO can be applied by using Kotak Bank ASBA through netbanking or app.
