NHPC Ltd is engaged in planning, development and implementation of an integrated and efficient network of hydroelectric power projects in India. They execute all aspects of the development of hydro electric projects, from concept to commissioning. In addition, they seek to expand our installed capacity and diversify their generation mix by undertaking projects for generation of power through thermal, solar and wind energy. They are a Mini Ratna hydroelectric power generating company. They have developed and constructed 17 hydroelectric power stations and our current total installed capacity is 5,702 MW.

They execute and manage all aspects of projects, from front-end engineering design to commissioning and operation and maintenance of the project. They have also been engaged as a project developer for certain projects, where their scope of work is to design, develop and deliver a hydroelectric power station to a client on an agency basis. They also provide contract based technical, management advisory and consultancy services to domestic and
international clients.
