Some questions about GM dealings
1. Kostak & S2S are given for retail applications. so for hni we have to multiply with 2(sme) or 14(main), correct?

2. is there a thumb rule when to sell Kostak and when S2S?

3. If I apply with 5 accounts, can I sell all 5 appl. bundled in return for money equivalent to 2 S2S + 3 Kostak (not individually mentioning kostak/s2s)?

please share your expert advice and experience.

In SME, there is no SHNI or BHNI... allocation is proportionate basis...

SME - Retail makes sense... unless you have unlimited fund for HNI... just applying 2 lots wont make sense for such over-subscribed issues.

In an oversubscribed issue it is a a lottery system for both. But there is 33% quota available for retail, so go with retail.
Unless you have huge amount to apply!! 😊😊

Let me rephrase it, if you have money for 2 lots.
At 12:52PM with Subscription of 16.46 in NII and 21.83 in Retail.
1 hni chances of allotment = 6.07%
1 retail chances of allotment = 4.58%
But since you still have 1 more lot amount, 2 retail chances of allotment = 9.16%

Let me rephrase it, if you have money for 2 lots.
At 12:52PM with Subscription of 16.46 in NII and 21.83 in Retail.
1 hni chances of allotment = 6.07%
1 retail chances of allotment = 4.58%
But since you still have 1 more lot amount, 2 retail chances of allotment = 9.16%

How?

100/21.83= 4.58
so 2*4.58 is 9.16

The funda is...take an hypothetical example....if subscription is 1x, chances of retail allotment are 100%
If subs is 2x....chances are 100/2 50%
if subs is 3x.... chances are 100/3 33.33%
so.....if over subs is 21.83 times or 21.83x, chances are 100/21.83

@Nimesh.J For NII category you cannot calculate chances just based on subscription, number of applications is more important. and also consider that each application is for minimum 2 lot so incase of 2x subscription it can be 100% chance of allotment

Yes, liquidity can be an issue. Also you buy or sell in lot which is different from shares in mainboard where you can buy or sell even 1 share.

I have an mod account in SBI. Is it mandatory to have money in savings account for asba? If I have the amount in mod, should I break the mod to apply for ASBA?

If you do not have money in savings Ac then your MOD will break automatically while applying for IPO.

You should not break FD for applying in an IPO.

Banks like ICICI and YES bank provide a facility to apply for an ipo using flexi FD (MOD) without breaking the FD..

The only problem is while applying only, it will sweep money from MOD to Saving acct automatically but money doesn't go back to MOD automatically.
You need to do it again with new fd no.

I am thinking we should apply this. Are you applying... if yes... HNI or RII...

I can apply max 2 lot in 5 applicaion...is it good strategy and anyway money will be unblocked for next IPO.
