@StayInvested So first one needs to understand if he is a IPO listing gains investor, or medium term investor or long term.
If you are IPO Listing gains investor then Vision Infra closed Day 1 at 215 which is 32% premium ...which not a big miss compared to 42% GMP in closing day.
If you are a medium term or long term guy then why react in less than week post listing ? You should wait anywhere b/w an year (medium term)to few years (long term).
If have to go and check yourself the performace of the SME IPOs where HDFC has invested (data is available on chitorgarh).
Secondly, there is no gurantee that IPOs where mutual funds have invested will do well on listing day or a week after, ...agreed.
But you need to understand that where due diligence is very tough, investment by such institutions gives a confidence that the company is genuine and lot many financial parameters are genuine. But still there is no gurantee that your capital will do well.. but then investement is about probability and not gurantee.
Lastly, I want to understand from your how and on what basis you invest in SMEs. Thank you!
