Great Unexpected listing as premium appears only on day of closing , Holding allotted lot for few days as the only sme is in my porfolio as on date.

​@MuStrFc @GrayIsTheNewBlack can you give estimated subscription of OSAL and Deccan keeping the three main lines and other smes are closing yesterday as appx 6 to 8k available for smes.

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack I felt the same. From 9:10 am I looked at the volumes till pre-open close and the buyer order at 190/- was in the range of 28-31 lakhs. This looked genuine (atleast for now). And while 14 lakh shares went for delivery today with 17 lakh shares pending buy order at 199.5/- (total float is 34 lakhs), this seems to have legs for UC tomorrow.

But generally what I have seen is Day 3 & Day 4 are tricky for these SMEs. Even the top notch SME Afcom hit LC briefly on Day 3 of listing. So that is the point it will test the investor. Genuine SMEs may bounce back but less quality SMEs may get stuck in LC for multiple days without giving a chance to exit. I have no idea about the quality of this SME unlike Afcom (which has premiers buyers like HDFC Bank).

I had to forcefully exit today as I was not able to put a SL order in ICICI direct..and did not want to keep monitoring whole day so exited.

I feel this will hit UC tomorrow and stay there, and may be UC day after as well but may get released from UC and hit LC day after tomorow. If not on Friday, chances of LC are very very high on Monday. Lets see.

They have not provided full Basis of allotment in their website too. Only top5 and bottom5 bid is visible.

Seems scam in allotment process.
Earlier also I became victim of such kind of allotments whenever skyline is a registrar.
SEBI is in deep sleep.

Proportionate lots would've been allotted to other applicants in the same category.
You can mail registrar to get full BoA and verify the same. @SVH

​@SVH It was unfortunate to not get allotment here. But few points we need to consider.

1. If there are other applicants in the 63 lot category, then possibly the allotment has gone to other applicant.
2. In case no other applicant in that category, 51% has good chance of allotment but doesn't guarantee allotment.

For exact details better to email the registar, not sure though if Skyline replies.
LinkInTime, Kfintech usually reply to all queries.

Second what @GrayIsTheNewBlack says. The BoA mention that complete allocation details are available on the company website, but in reality there is nothing. Have mailed both the RTA and the company since the BoA was released but no response as of yet, and sadly i do not expect to get one

Lottery entry is confirmed once the 50% mark is breached but allotment is still dependent on some other factors @SVH

​@GrayIsTheNewBlack I agree with @MuStrFc as my experience with kfintech and Linkintime is not good. Still not received any reply about Gala Precision from linkin for communication done on 9th and followed up on 11th and 13th. Sebi is also in deep sleep.
That's why I asked @Admin @ Chittorgarh.com to help us out in getting full BoAs from the RTAs. Previously the RTAs didn't reciprocate the team chittorgarh's request for detailed BoAs of all IPOs. Hope they do it this time.

​@MuStrFc - One correction lottery entry isn't necessarily confirmed at 50% mark. It again depends on few other factors sometimes, even 51% is not enough and sometimes even 48% could be enough to enter the lottery.

You can look at BOA of Mach conference where a 204 lot single application missed out on lottery, even when oversubscription 402x (~50.7%)
While in case of Travels & Rentals, even a single applicant at 379 lots got allotment when oversubscription was 788x (~48%)

Agreed @GrayIsTheNewBlack . In context of the 50% mark being breached, what i meant to say was that its more likely to get an entry into lottery; confirmed at most times but not at all times as compared to getting allotment. Obviously as you said nothing brings surety and there are cases like the ones happened recently.

Essence is for the RTAs to be more transparent, they have presented contrary things at places which creates further suspicion regarding the allotment process.

In that case, it is not the right practice. Allotment is the game of numbers, maths and probability and there cannot be any exception. Approach has to be uniform whether it is better than 50% or whatever no., It cannot be decided by the RTA. Either there is something that we are missing or it is gross violation.
Are they considering the adjacent lot categories (if very few applications in that category) when computing the ratio? If someone can enlighten....

Talking about malpractices and RTA doing crazy things, check Paryan Sharma's recent post and interaction with kfintech on X. Kfintech randomly clubbed retailers with SH quota.

yes, I really hope it sustains the GMP ( this is a NSE SME vs Trafik one which was a BSE one), but then anything could happen.. feels like such an unknown! you plan to exit in pre-open? what a day for it to get listed .. next day after the BSE SME fiasco as well as Fed rate announcement.

I generally look at the volume in pre open and take a call. Mostly I hold on to SME stocks for a day or two...but its all about traded volume or the volume at equilibrium for me in pre open.

Buddy..pls dont rely on me. My experience with SMEs is pure luck. I can get it wrong.

I have sold Afcom @238/- while currently its at 400+. While I exited Ideal Techno @145/- and its now at 100/-.

I definitely would have suggested if I had little exp in SMEs..which I dont.

And on top of that ...

I have seen people coming back taunting when someone gets it wrong :-) .

​@Esparando It's first time i have allotted. I want to transfer it to my son's account offline through CDSL to save some STCG. So, my aim is just to hold for 1 day if listing suggests so.

And giving one's view doesn't mean the other person must follow that. Everyone is responsible for their own actions. Everyone should use their own mind. Nobody is God here. It's share market, anyone's view can go right or wrong. Atleast you have more experience in SME listing than me. Your views will help me.

What are the tax implications

I would transer offline these shares to my son. Then sell from his demat. He is 18+(means not minor, hence no clubbing of income) and has no income. Upto 3 lakh income is exempted from tax.

​@🙏 Verma Ji 🙏 As per tax law that I understand, though you transfer as a gift, the buying price of the stock for your son would be the price of the stock of the day when it lands in his demat.

And your purchase price will be IPO price and sale price will be the price on the day when the stock leaves your demat.

Also, if you are using Zerodha then you can transfer online.

By the way, I sold off Innomet today though I see a strong case of UC tomorrow.

Reason for the sale being, I could not place SL in ICICI direct and did not want to take risk just incase it get released from UC.

But based on my experience, be careful on 3rd and 4th days of listing in such SME stocks. They generally hit LC and then hardly give us any chance for next few days to exit. All the best.

​@Esparando I don't think that's correct. When a stock is gifted to a family member, the buying price of the transferror also gets transferred to the transferee. In essence, the complete tax liability shifts to the person who the shares have been gifted to.
I did the same last year from Zerodha and gifted shares from my account to my father's account. Although, Zerodha's reports will not pick the right buy value, it can be safely ignored (as was confirmed by Zerodha's customer support as well). At the end of the year, just need to ensure you correctly update in your tax records and no issues will arise. Mine and my father's tax returns were processed successfully without any issues and my entire tax liability shifted to his account (rather I used his allowance for tax benefit).

​@Kapz  usually there is no issues at the time of filing income tax returns, but issue comes later on when IT department raises scrunity for such transactions.
Do you have any sources or links where its written that transferror will not have to pay any tax for such transaction and all the tax burden will be on transferee.
