I have applied DMART IPO through BOB Online ASBA but on BSE site there are showing two bids for one Application, Event though i have one bid at cut off.
so what is reason? is my application got rejected or accepted?

How Kostak value is arrived at?

For a newbie like me, kostak was difficult to understand.

The answer in the link /faq/what_is_grey_market/75/ is also not very clear.

It took me sometime to get it into my head. Hope I am right. Please correct if I am wrong. Lets take the example of Avenue Supermart to understand Kostak value.

Cost price of one lot is 50 x 299 = 14950
GMP of each share is approx 260
Profit from each allotted application is 50 x 260 = 13000

The IPO is oversubscribed by approx four times. So chances of getting allotment is 1/4 = 0.25 or 25%.

That means a broker needs minimum of four applications to increase his chances to near 100% to get allotment, that is to make the 13000 rupees profit.

So for him, each application price will be 13000/4 = 3250 - 250 (approx his safety margin) = 3000

Now since the issue is oversubscribed, there is no chance of anyone getting more than one lot per application. So my assumption is, for all applications Kostak price is same irrespective of no. of lots applied in it.

I have applied for both Music and Dmart Ipos via netbanking. Got confirmation message from bank about lein mark and application number.
While reading different posts here, people are saying they got some confirmation from BSE. I never got that. Neither for these 2 ipos nor for BSE ipo i applied in past.
Can someone pls suggest why is that i didnt got any confirmation from BSE , though i have my application numbers generated

Sometimes u get the mail. Sometimes u don''t. Nothing to worry. If it is there on Bse/NSE then don''t worry bro
