@pansariwala In oversubscribed IPOs considereing minimum ticket size of that category:-
In bhni you apply for more than 10 lakhs & gets only 2 lakhs .
In shni you get what you applied, i.e., 2 lakhs full.
In both the cases, you have to be lucky.
IMO, if a person have sufficient capital then can go for bhni only else person having 6 Ids & 12 lakhs capital can apply for 6 shni instead of 1bhni + 5 retail.
Allotment probability may be higher in 2nd case but if luck favours maximum benefits can be extracted from 1st case.
Its either my way or the highway.
In IREDA/Gandhar, I had applied 5/6 shni & got 2 allotments of 4 lakhs. But, if Ihad chooosen mix of bhni & Retail I would never got 28 lots with 10-12 lakhs capital.
1 shni = 14 Retail
with 5 apps & 14 IPOs, 70 apps total, with little luck, one can get huge lots with minimum capital but in retail where as with 1 hni & few retails, the person ll find it hard to get big allotments.
